A Star Is Born Shallow Chord Chart by Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper

Welcome to my A Star Is Born Shallow Chord Chart by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. This is song is super huge right now, with right now being 2019 in case you find this page 5 years from now. 🙂

Because of the picking and such, this song is a little more intermediate, but as usual, I’m going to created a way for you to play this much easier and simpler. So I won’t be discussing the picking pattern, but if you are interested in learning more about finger picking, you can check out my Guitar Course.

The timing on this is a little weird in that we are changing on some of the up beats. Those “ands” and again may be a little tricky for some of you new to guitar. But with a little work and going slow, you can master this song.

The D/F# chord is a pretty important part of the bass line of this song, so if you don’t know that, I would recommend learning it. It’s a D chord with an F# in the bass. I usually play that with my thumb, as I find it fairly easy to do it that way.

For the strumming, we are going to keep this super simple, especially in the beginning. All I really want you to do is down strums on the chord change. As the song progresses, we can add some embellishments, but keep it simple first. I have added those embellishments in the chord chart below.

Strumming:

|Em7 D/F# G|
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 +

C |G D |
1 2 3 4 1 + 2 + 3 4
