Before You Accuse Me Chord Chart by Eric Clapton

Welcome to my Before You Accuse me chord chart by Eric Clapton. This is a great song for those who really love the blues and it’s really not that hard at all. The trickiest chord is the B7 chord, so make sure you learn that before attempting to play. The rest of the chords are E and A. What a great song written in 12 Bar Blues in the key of E.

I would consider this a little more beginner-intermediate only because of the shuffle on the strumming pattern. Not usually something I teach students right out of the gate until they have developed some rhythm skills.

Speaking of which, if you want to develop your rhythm skills a bit more, check out my Guitar Course where I teach you all kinds of cool strumming patterns you can use in songs.

Strumming: Played as a shuffle
1 + a 2 + a 3 + a 4 + a
D  UD  U D UD U

If you don’t know how to play a shuffle rhythm, you can always use straight 8th notes. It won’t sound as ‘bluesy’ as the shuffle pattern, but it will get you through the song.
