Pink Houses Chord Chart by John Mellencamp

Welcome to my Pink Houses chord chart and guitar lesson by John Mellencamp. This is a great song and fortunately the chords can be made pretty simple.

This song does feature one barre chord, the F chord, but we can make that easier for those of you that hate barre chords by using the F major 7 chord instead below.

PINK HOUSES CHORDS:

As with any song that uses the pesky F barre chord, you can always use the Fmaj chord as a substitute.

PINK HOUSES STRUMMING PATTERNS:

Easy Strumming Pattern:
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 +
DU DU DU DU

Other Strumming Pattern:
1 + 2+ 3 + 4+
DU U U DU

The split measure rhythms are hopped, meaning in the |C G| and |F C| measures, the second chord changes1 on an up strum.

Intro Lick Over G chord: e|---------------------3----| B|---------------------3----| G|----------------0----0----| D|---------------------0----| A|---------0h2---------2----| E|----3----------------3----|
