Welcome to my Won’t Back Down chord chart by Tom Petty. Love his stuff. This has been re-arranged for beginner guitar players. You will be able to play along with the recording but you will need a capo at the 4th fret so it will sound the same.
The chords we will be using are C, G, Am and F. The simple version of “F” can be seen below. This chord is called and Fmajor7 chord but it will work well enough and is easy to get in and out of since it looks a lot like our C chord. Some chords are full measures and some are half measures meaning two beats each chord for example |Am G|. Both Am and G are played for 2 beats.
