Wonderwall Chord Chart by Oasis

Welcome to my Wonderwall chord chart by Oasis. This is the song in college that made me realize that I sucked at guitar.

Honestly.

I heard a friend playing it while in the Resident Assistant office. He shows me how to play the intro to this song. I was pretty much obsessed with my new found guitar song skill.

This song was the second single from the band’s breakthrough album (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, which served to propel the group from an indie act to a worldwide phenomenon.

It’s a doozy in terms of strumming but super super fun. If I teach this song to my students, they finally feel like they are a ‘real’ guitar player due to the intensive strumming.

That’s what makes this such a great intermediate level song.

Like many songs on the album, Wonderwall is characterized by an increased emphasis on balladry and soaring choruses compared to their earlier work. The majority of the song is in 4/4 time, with the notable exception of a single measure of 2/4 time in the postchorus, which absolute drives me bonkers.

Let’s take a look at the strumming for this song.
