Working Class Hero Chord Chart by John Lennon

Welcome to my Working Class chord chart by John Lennon. Working Class hero is a great song because it only mostly focuses on two chords – Lots of Am and G. There is the occasional D chord that comes in as well. There’s not a lot of songs that only use two chords and are great for absolute beginners.

Two chord songs on my site:
Horse With No Name
Eleanor Rigby

This song introduces you to 3/4 time or what is referred to as Waltz time because you feel like you are waltzing. You will get a lot of work on G an Am on this one. So let’s check it out.

Strumming:

Am
1 2 + 3 +
D D U D U

If you listen to the song, you will here lots of little bass notes and hammer-ons coming in on the Am,
John is lifting his second finger before the down strum on the one and hammering. The bass note is the 5th string on the Am chord.
